South Carolina Residents   -  Member Benefits

  • Testing assistance locater in your area for standardized testing and/or PSAT-SAT-ACT.   I.O.E. supports generalized / standardized testing of your child as a measure of progress in their education, but does not make this mandatory. South Carolina Residents   -  Member Requirements

  • Enrollment / Re-enrollment Form at the start of each school year.
  • Signed Scholastic Record Form returned to I.O.E. at the end of each school year. (This form records your attendance, grades and subjects taught during your school year and is provided to you in your members packet.)
  • Member compliance from each member of the legal requirements as stated in the South Carolina Code of Laws §59-65-47.
  • Parent/teacher must be in full compliance in accordance with SC Code of Laws §59-65-47:

    Parent must hold at least a high school diploma or the equivalent general educational development (GED) certificate.

    Minimum of 180 instructional days.

    Plan an appropriate course of study for each child.

    Maintain education records that include: (1) A plan book, diary or other form of record keeping that indicates subjects taught and activities child engaged in. (2) Portfolio of samples from student’s academic work. (3) Semiannual progress report including attendance and progress in each of the subjects taught. (Retain a copy of your IOE Scholastic Record Form in your files as your semi-annual and year end progress report.


     

    2008-2009 Family Rate:  $40 per school year
