High School Special Needs Information
(High School Track III) 


IOE allows for special needs students that are performing at or below grade level to obtain the Track III  Occupational High School Diploma at graduation.

Students will be required to take courses in accordance with state law for each of the high school years and complete the required number of days each school year.


Required Days of Instruction:  180 days.

Required Subjects:   Reading, writing, math, science, social studies, composition and literature. S.C. Code §59-65-47



Parents will adhere to the above mandates for each of the high school years with courses/curriculum at the student's grade level/ability.  At the conclusion of each school year the parent/teacher will  complete and return the year-end Scholastic Data Form.  An academic transcript will be processed for each student schooling through Track III. There will not be a  GPA assessment done on their transcript, nor class ranking for Track III students.

At the conclusion of the their senior year they will be awarded the Occupational High School Diploma.

All students schooling under Track I, II, and III are encouraged to participate in the Senior Graduation Ceremony in the spring of their Senior Year.

If your child will be obtaining the Occupation High School Diploma, please indicate 'Track III' on your membership application. If you have any questions, please call the office directly.

Students may transfer their academic track to I or II at anytime during the high school years.
